Make in India is an initiative by the Government of India, to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India.

Simply defining, Make in India is a campaign to promote Indians to manufacture in India instead of importing.

Where as “Made in India” is a product finished and finally packed in India or completely made in India.

Manufacturing will be successful only if the government manages to convince companies to manufacture in India.

So ‘Make-in-India’ aims at promoting India as an investment destination and establishing the country as a global hub for manufacturing, design and innovation. The major objective behind the initiative is to focus on 25 sectors of the economy for job creation and skill enhancement.

The initiative also looks at providing a congenial environment to the business community so that they can devote their effort, resources and energy to productive work.
