People love dogs. So, Dog explainer videos are accepted and appreciated. We suggest startups how to wisely use dogs in startup videos.

Many animals are appreciated as cute, cuddly and friendly. Dog is one such kind.
Their innocence emotionally touches our inner child and our empathy. Even if we are not a dog lover, we are still able to look at a dog video and appreciate its humour and the creativity that had penetrated into its concept.

You know that dogs are the current darlings of marketers. We are in an era where people are looking for an exceptional association with companies and brands and most find dogs endearing.

The dog power

Dogs are popular and just plain irresistible, because they are,

An epitome of simplicity.

A symbol of energy.

Enthusiastic and motivated round the clock.

Transmit a thought of freshness.

When the positives are so many, why not use dogs in your startup videos.

Dogs can lock attention

Our primary goal is to lock the attention of the target customer. In the first place, realize that your customer is sick and tired of watching thousands of ads in TV, mobile phones, hoardings and posters on the road. To make that fatigued consumer spring up from his couch, imagine a video showing a beautiful chocolate Labrador retriever running over a green pasture. People who have an affinity towards dogs stop a moment to take a look. And when that happens, your video has successfully scaled an incredibly challenging hurdle.

Dogs can evoke emotions

You have made your customer notice your video. You have crossed half the bridge. Now, you ought to lock your video in his memory. All you need to do is- engage his emotions. Generally, dogs evoke warm emotions. So you can simply achieve it, by recalling his childhood pet experience with a tint of amusement. You have triumphed in showering your customer in an emotional rush. Job well done. The customer can effortlessly summon back your ad from his memory, and decides to buy your product. What can be better than this?

Dogs can build Trustworthiness

Nowadays, everyone wants to spend their dollars, rightly. If you intend to be recognised by your customer for your genuineness, you need to register that feeling in his mind in first place. It is an universally acknowledged truth that dogs are the faithful, best friends of humans. Man trusts his best friend. So, the dog can help as an agent to the customer to take that crucial and final decision by recommending your product as a trustworthy product. As it is a known fact that, dogs are a source of security and are our protectors, people believe that it won’t let them down.

Big Brands Adopt Dogs in Videos

LinkedIn sales hack if done right, then there are no better way to sell than Linkedin.

Social-selling is hot, especially for startups who have no budget. But do we really sell our stuff using Facebook and Twitter. If it is B2B then no way, you have to look into Linkedin. Linkedin is a great sales tool. No wonder, even Fortune companies close deals via Linkedin. As a startup, sales will always hit your head once your products are out. These 3 fast hacks cannot skyrocket your sales but sure will let you go in the right path to get everything done faster in linkedin sales.

“Help the people in your network. And Let them help you.” – Reid Hoffman, Founder of LinkedIn

1. Connect with the Right customer but don’t jump to him!

In Linkedin, connect request is approved in 2 ways. One “I accept every request that comes to me” and the second “I validate before I accept”. Let us drop the first category, most of the decision makers come in the second category, but don’t jump to them directly.

Things that influence your connect approvals are:

Your Pic, Your Name and Your professional headline.

Do I have a common connection shared between?

Your Profile, but most of the approval happens based on the above 2.

My favorite sales guy who knows the perfect marketing tactics is Neil Patel Co-founder of CrazyEgg. You can very well see how better your headline can be.

Don’t jump to your potential customer directly. It is better to go by second level and third level before accessing them, which gives a known feel than direct jump. The best way of doing this is to identify the Influencer in the specific industry. Most of the decision makers connected with Influencers say, “PR/Media coordinates are the most Influencers”.

2. Like or comment on your potential client with a trick.

Don’t comment or like all the posts shared by your potential clients, you will be easily identified as a sales guy. Also don’t comment or like on the most viral post you may be lost in the crowd. The best way to handle is “Like- where you get the attention of the potential customer”.

3. Don’t waste your time in search

In Linkedin, we always waste our time in identifying the most valuable client or similar profile. Even Linkedin knows this well, that’s why they have this great feature “People also Viewed”. It is good to reach out relevant profile similar to your potential clients.

Watch the interview of chennai entrepreneur, founder of aspire ventures, Swaminathan answering to questions on startups & entrepreneurship.

Learning never stops. But many a times, listening to experiences, perhaps, gives you the luxury of not going through the learning curve to gain expertise and be very successful in the chosen area.

There are great entrepreneurs out there who have gone through enough to reach a stage of impacting global economy. It’s a life time opportunity for startups to listen to every one of them. Now, you are going to listen to one such Mentor and a Serial Entrepreneur from Chennai, Aspire Swaminathan, the Founder and CEO of Aspire Ventures who has been helping startup companies to create world class businesses through his startup2scalup initiative.

In an exclusive interview to thestartupvideos.com, Swaminathan shared his views and insights on Startups, Entrepreneurship and Chennai as the next favourable destination for budding companies.

Highlights from the Interview

Swaminathan uses his immense business experiences to mentor budding entrepreneurs and predominantly focuses on startup entrepreneurship.

A special initiative for startups called startup2scaleup founded by Swaminathan shapes up budding entrepreneurs with great business ideas. In simple words, channelizing from the very early stage of a great idea to making it a grand reality.

Popularly known as Aspire Swaminathan, he is now mentoring around 20 startups from chennai and a few of them have raised over $30M in the last two years.

How do you know that your idea is great or not? You can arrive at a conclusion by sharing your idea with others and talking about it to more people, says Swaminathan.

Your idea is just an idea until you have the right team to execute it which he calls as Mastermind Alliance.
