CreckJack – A whole new way to support content creators

CreckJack is an unique combination of social and crowd funding platform. This allows start-up to attract funding from sponsors to help and develop talents or to support their projects. At the same time, sponsors intend to receive cool rewards and get an access to exclusive content or rewards from the artists they are following.

We had a short interview with the CEO:

My name is Dima, I’m 24, and this is my friend Nick, he is 21, and we are founders of CreckJack. We are passionate about creative and beautiful things.

A year and half ago, I used to play guitar and Nick used to be a DJ.

We desperately needed money to buy new instruments. We went like a fast food chain restaurant to earn extra money so then we could afford for that. But then we realized that we are wasting our time while we could practice more and do what we like. This way the idea of CreckJack was born – to help talented people to share with people over the globe and find its followers.

It took a while to figure out the whole concept of CreckJack, gather the right people, to start coding and designing. But we managed to do this and right now we are almost ready to launch a beta-version. This is possible thanks to the whole team and especially to Nick Chernykh, Arseny Nikulchenko, Alex Musatkin and Adrey Rozumny.

The most problematic part was to find out the best possible UI design, so our users could really enjoy CreckJack and of course the name itself. We wanted the name to be unique and attractive. And now we are proud to be called CreckJack.

So this is our short story of how we had and having lots of fun. We truly like what we do and looking into the future with a big smile.We unite all content creators under one roof and help them to connect with their fans and followers.

CreckJack is a whole new way to support content creators. And one more thing, there is no time limit; you can run your campaign as long as you wish. Cool, ha?

The story of an artist without an easel

Moloy Dey, is an Art College graduate. He always aspired for achieving a career that would give him creative freedom. He dreamt of becoming a fine artist, but also felt a strong urge for computer graphics and animation.

His life changed when he was offered a job by a well paying corporate company in computer graphics soon after completing his Masters in Visual Arts.

Moloy fell in love with the subject and started thinking, what can be done with computer graphics but he also realized that he was not the one who is going to take part in the rat race of corporate employment.

He regularly browsed the internet trends and aware of the advent of video. He noticed that businesses were looking forward to creating short videos to explain their product or services. Realizing the potential of that demand he quit his job in 2008 and launched his own company PixelGenio.com.

PixelGenio is all about creating amazing animated explainer videos for business concepts. They help businesses to explain their product or services to their customers in a very fun and interesting way…something, that people would like to engage to.

At the start, their biggest hurdle was that no one knew about them. They struggled about 3 years working on low budget freelance projects. His efforts enhanced the online presence of his website and enabled it to show up on Google searches. At present they have achieved a page rank of 2.

Moloy says:

At PixelGenio.com we prefer to keep it small so that we can focus on quality rather than on volume. I do not want PixelGenio to turn into corporate company with robots all around

We provide services to businesses all around the globe. With the advent of internet technologies like skype, gmail and FTP, we are able to maintain a very smooth communication with overseas clients.

With continuous improvement in online presence, they wish promote more reputed brands and can work towards creating amazing animated videos!

How do you know that your idea is great or not? You can arrive at a conclusion by sharing your idea with others and talking about it to more people, says Swaminathan.
Your idea is just an idea until you have the right team to execute it which he calls as Mastermind Alliance.
“He says that it doesn’t stop if you just solve a problem of your customer. To build up a great business empire, your customer should perceive that you solve a problem, must be willing to pay for it and more importantly you must have a huge number of such people.”
Swaminathan has a good news for Chennai Startupreneurs.The business climate in Chennai is very healthy and the city is heading towards becoming an innovation hub where we will be developing products from here for the Global community. The city is all set to be the next startup capital of the world.
